Knee Pain

The knee is one of the most injured joints in the body. Knee pain comes in a variety of flavors, many of which have clinical names, and some of which do not. But whenever an area of the body is constantly challenged, stress occurs. It can be instantaneous, such as a hyperextension, or it can be chronic - the accumulated result of the relentless use required by endurance athletics. In either event, the principle to recovery is the same – relieve the stress. Properly using methods to relieve stress, such as rest or the use of Chi Formulas and Therapies, can go a long way in overall joint health and longevity.

Prevention

Promoting both Chi and blood circulation in and through the knee is imperative to relieving stress and the accumulated effects of stress. This circulation is one of the main mechanisms for restoring balance, in turn preventing poor condition and promoting optimal ability.

For keeping the knees in balance, Chi Herbal recommends using Foot & Leg Energizer on the knees and legs on a daily basis. At a cost of a few minutes and a dollar or two per day, you can relieve soreness and fatigue, and promote overall lower body energy.For an even greater effect, use Foot Energy Spray in conjunction with some of the recommended Chi Therapies.

Recovery

For mild recovery, you can use Foot & Leg Energizer. If it is more than mild, Chi Herbal recommends The Recovery Wrap. Depending upon severity, one wrap may be sufficient, or you may want to do a series of wraps. The Recovery Wrap is worn for 12-24 hours and then discarded. If you are doing a series of wraps, wait at least 24 hours in between applications to give the skin time to breath.

I have been a physical therapist for 46 years and have what is called a “worn” knee. I have for several years lived with stiffness, swelling, crunching and chronic pain in the knee, but continued all my activities with minor limitations.
